Amanda Bynes conservatorship papers filed

Amanda Bynes’ parents have filed official legal documents to become their daughter’s conservators.

Amanda Bynes’ parents have taken the first official steps to become her conservators.

The 27-year-old former child actress is under a 5150 hold currently after torching an elderly woman’s driveway in Thousands Oaks, California on Monday night. The state law allows for people who have been deemed a danger to themselves or others by authorities to be involuntary held for a mental evaluation for up to 72 hours.

It is rumoured medical professionals are seeking a two-week extension on the psychiatric hold, as they believe she may be suffering from schizophrenia.

Radar Online reports Amanda’s mother and father, Lynn and Rick Bynes, have officially filed conservatorship papers to the court. If granted this authority they will be able to make Amanda’s personal and professional decisions for her.

A source informed the website that the parents are distraught over Amanda’s circumstances and “are truly afraid their daughter will die if the conservatorship isn’t granted”.

Apparently the Ventura County Superior Courthouse magistrate presiding over the matter agrees, as the judge has made an unprecedented move to hear the case before the close of the week.

“[Rick and Lynn’s lawyers] were able to get the judge to agree to hear the matter on Friday because of the urgency of Amanda’s situation,” an insider revealed.

“Typically, conservatorships are only heard in Ventura County on Tuesdays, but Arminak and Reider persuaded the judge to hear the matter before then.”

TMZ reported that the doctors observing Amanda have determined she is “suffering from a severe mental illness ‘with schizophrenic tendencies’”.

Apparently the star has “a good Amanda and a bad Amanda”. When she speaks of her evil side she begins “biting herself” and it appears that she is violently exorcising demons from her body.

The website also reports at one point Amanda “had to be physically restrained” after she lashed out for an hour during a psychotic episode, accusing her parents of wanting to murder her and her dog.

It is rumoured she was drug tested for everything, but only marijuana came up positive.
