Amanda Bynes' parents 'see her every day'

Amanda Bynes' parents are reportedly putting on a united display of support for their daughter.

Amanda Bynes’ parents are reportedly visiting her daily in hospital.

The former child star is currently under a 5150 hold after she set a fire in a residential driveway in Thousand Oaks, California Monday night.

California legislation allows those deemed by authorities to be a danger to themselves and others to be committed into hospital to have their mental state evaluated for up to 72 hours.

A judge will reportedly decide shortly whether to extend the evaluation period as it’s rumoured medical professionals believe Amanda could be suffering from schizophrenia. Physicians have reportedly requested to hold her for another two weeks.

According to RadarOnline, Amanda has seen her mother, Lynn Bynes, every day since she was admitted.

The 27-year-old is reportedly refusing to see her father, Rick Bynes, however.

“Amanda doesn’t want to see her dad, but he goes with his wife, just in case she changes her mind,” a source said.

“Rick will be there for his daughter, no matter what. They just want her to get the help she needs, and recognise that it could be a long process. She’s their daughter, and they are committed to getting her better.”

Amanda’s parents are reportedly planning to go to court on Friday in a bid to get a temporary conservatorship over their daughter.

The hearing will be closed to the public.

Rick spoke out about the arson incident earlier this week.

The patriarch told TMZ his daughter needs to take responsibility for her actions stemming from her most recent arrest.

“Amanda needs to pay for it,” he said in reference to repairing the driveway where she lit the fire.

The troubled starlet has endured months in the spotlight as a result of several run-ins with the law.

She was reportedly ticketed on Sunday after trespassing at a retirement home.

The star was also charged with reckless endangerment, attempted tampering with evidence and unlawful possession of marijuana, all misdemeanours, after allegedly throwing a marijuana bong from the window of her Manhattan apartment in May.

She also had previous hit-and-run-related arrests in Los Angeles.
