Duke and Duchess dash to London

Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reportedly left the English countryside abruptly Friday afternoon fuelling birth rumours.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge jetted off to London abruptly on Friday afternoon.

The British royal couple are expecting their first child together and Duchess Catherine is due to give birth any day now.

For the past week or so Prince William has been spending time in the countryside village of Bucklebury, England with wife Catherine and her family.

According to Us Weekly the pair suddenly left the Middleton residence for London at around 3pm with police escorts in tow.

It is unknown whether the Duchess is being transported directly to the Lindo Wing in St. Mary’s Hospital, where she is due to give birth, or back home to Kensington Palace.

A Palace spokesperson has declined to reveal where the royal couple are headed.

“We wouldn’t comment on the exact whereabouts of the Duke and Duchess – we wouldn’t normally do so in their private time,” the rep said.

Apparently Catherine’s due date has “passed” and loved ones are biting their lips in anticipation of the new arrival.

Although Prince William’s paternity leave at the Royal Air Force has reportedly not officially commenced, he is taking time off nonetheless to await the arrival of his tot.

“We’re all on the edge of our seats for news,” a Royal Air Force source admitted. “I thought the baby would be born by now!”
