Lea Michele ‘deeply grateful’ for support

Lea Michele has released a statement through her spokesperson in the wake of her boyfriend, Cory Monteith’s, autopsy report.

Lea Michele is “deeply grateful” for the outpouring of support she’s received in the wake of Cory Monteith’s death, according to her spokesperson.

The 26-year-old actress had been dating her Glee co-star for more than a year before he died suddenly this weekend at a Vancouver hotel.

A coroner’s report released Tuesday revealed Cory died from an overdose of heroin and alcohol.

The grieving actress is now leaning on Cory’s family for support during the difficult time as they work together to plan formal arrangements in memoriam.

Her representative issued a statement revealing her gratitude to those who have reached out.

“Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s received from family, friends, and fans,” the spokesperson told People magazine.

“Since Cory’s passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them. They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together. We continue to ask the media to respect the privacy of Lea and Cory’s family.”

Cory was 31 when he passed away after a night out with friends.

His body was found by hotel staff who went to check on the actor when he missed his checkout time Saturday afternoon.

Cory had completed a month-long treatment for substance abuse shortly before his death.

According to People, the actor reconciled with Lea after his release.
