Jessica Simpson was finally released from hospital in time for her 33rd birthday following the birth of her son Ace Knute on June 30.

Jessica Simpson has finally returned home from the hospital following the birth of her son Ace Knute.

The Hollywood star underwent a cesarean section at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles on June 30.

Jessica recuperated for several days after the operation and E! News reports she was released from the facility just in time for her 33rd birthday on July 10.

According to the outlet Jessica enjoyed her special day with close friends and relatives at home.

Ace Knute is Jessica’s second child with fiancé Eric Johnson. The baby boy will be little brother to the couple’s 14-month-old daughter, Maxwell.

The fashionista and the former American football player are reportedly elated about their new arrival.

Jessica and Eric have been engaged since the fall of 2010.

They delayed their wedding once due to Maxwell’s birth in May 2012, then again to make way for her second pregnancy.

Jessica has spoken previously about her eagerness to walk down the aisle in the near future.

“I definitely look forward to the day that I can look into his eyes and make that commitment that we both really long for,” she told People magazine. “He’s just got to stop knocking me up!”

According to Us Weekly the couple will indeed be tying the knot soon.

At a baby shower in May, the outlet reports Jessica was overheard telling friends she “wanted to get married a few months after the baby is born”.
