Naya Rivera ‘wants to be like Aaliyah and Beyoncé’

Naya Rivera from Glee is carving out her solo career based off the image of R&B legends Aaliyah and Beyoncé Knowles.

The Glee actress is launching an album soon and hopes to tour with the offering.

She is using the late singer and the Single Ladies crooner as inspiration to shape her image.

“If Aaliyah and Beyoncé had a baby, who would she be?” she told Perez Hilton.

Naya wants her LP to impress fans and she will release it in good time.

The girlfriend of hip-hop star Big Sean additionally shared there are some great collaborations with other artists on the record.

“Hopefully, everyone will think it’s good,” she laughed. “We’ve got some really good features coming up on the album, and I’ve got a single coming out really soon. I hope everyone likes it when it drops.

“I’ve been working so hard on it, but I definitely have to get something out there sooner rather than later… I’m keeping it very 90s…”

Naya is dreaming big about who she would like to compose songs with in the future.

Although she has high hopes, the star is aware she hasn’t yet created the musical credibility to collaborate with certain extremely popular musicians.

”I’d love to work with Robin Thicke. I would say that I’d love to work with Beyoncé but she’d just blow me out of the water so I wouldn’t even try,” she confessed.

Naya, who plays Santana on the hit musical TV show, will be hosting Bud Light Music First’s 50/50/1 show August 1.

A whopping 50 concerts across all 50 states in America will take place on the same day and she will be manning the live stream during Miguel’s Los Angeles performance.

“It definitely is the first time that something like this has ever been done, which I think is such a huge undertaking but so awesome,” she admitted. “It’s history-making, so I’m proud to be a part of it.”
