Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson’s newborn son Ace Knute is “beautiful”, according to a friend.
Jessica Simpson’s baby boy is “beautiful”.
The Fashion Star mentor welcomed her first son with National Football League player Eric Johnson on Sunday.
The pair named the tot Ace Knute, paying tribute to Eric’s Swedish grandfather with his middle name.
A friend of the couple says the little boy is precious and already resembles his dad.
“The baby is beautiful,” the insider told Us Weekly. “He has Eric’s little chin dimple!”
Jessica, 32, and her partner, 33, have been engaged since the fall of 2010.
They delayed their wedding when she fell pregnant with their first child, 14-month-old daughter Maxwell Drew.
The couple is said to be elated with their new addition.
“[They] are so happy to have a boy,” the source continued. “One of each, everybody wants that!”
Maxwell is also apparently thrilled to be a big sister.
While she isn’t old enough to fully understand the fuss around baby Ace, she is joyful about being a sibling.
“Maxwell is excited,” the insider added. "She doesn’t totally get it and understand, but she is very excited to have a brother.”
Jessica’s estranged parents, Tina and Joe, have reportedly visited her at the hospital since giving birth.
Her dad even took to Twitter to express his feeling towards meeting the little boy.
“Very blessed to celebrate the birth of my new grandson,” he wrote.
Jessica’s sister, Ashlee, and the singer’s best friend, Cacee Cobb, are also said to have visited after the birth.
Cacee, 35, is awaiting the arrival of her own child with actor husband Donald Faison.
The reality star tweeted “IN LOVE” following her introduction to the youngster.
