Lindsay Lohan is apparently so worried about relapsing, she plans to keep a low profile when she leaves rehab in August.
Lindsay Lohan will allegedly go “into hiding” when she leaves rehab.
The troubled actress is currently completing a 90-day court-ordered programme after making a deal with prosecutors earlier this year.
Lindsay pled no contest to reckless driving and lying to police investigating her June 2012 car crash in Santa Monica, California, and entered rehab in May.
The 26-year-old is apparently so worried about going back to her old ways when she leaves, that TMZ reports she will be keeping out of the limelight.
“Lindsay Lohan is going from reckless to recluse – we’ve learned she plans to go deep into hiding after she gets out of rehab in August… to maintain her sobriety,” the website writes.
Sources claim she feels “powerless” when it comes to her addictions and that places like New York City and Los Angeles have only been fuelling her “demons”.
The star is set to leave rehab in August and TMZ claims she wants to move outside of the US, where there are fewer paparazzi and she can get in touch with her “true self”.
Further details about where she plans to escape to or for how long are not known.
Lindsay entered the Betty Ford Center in May but moved to the Cliffside Malibu facility last month, when it was reported another patient’s guest brought prohibited substances to the clinic.
Shortly after her move, it was claimed the actress hoped to move to yet another centre, but the judge and prosecutor in her case apparently wouldn’t allow the transfer.
It was recently reported that Lindsay is determined never to go to rehab again after this stint.
“She’s serious this time, and she’s finally taking direction. She gets up at 7am, she’s never late to the group meetings and she’s the first one in the van when they go to AA meetings,” a source told America’s OK! magazine.
Lindsay seems keen to battle her addictions once and for all and over the weekend it was reported she’s decided to give up prescription drug Adderall.
Initially, the actress threatened to boycott her rehab deal unless she was allowed to take the medication while completing the programme.
However, TMZ claims she’s now OK without the drug and Lindsay is apparently telling friends she initially started taking Adderall to help her ADHD.
Now, her new doctors have reportedly decided it was a “bogus” diagnosis and she no longer needs to take the medication.
