Sharon Osbourne: Acceptance in marriage is key

Sharon Osbourne believes her marriage with husband Ozzy Osbourne has lasted for over three decades because they love each other unconditionally.

Sharon Osbourne believes her marriage has lasted so long due to a high level of tolerance.

The television star and Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne have been married since 1982.

Ozzy recently confessed in April he was secretly battling a drugs relapse for a year-and-a-half.

Apparently the pair separated while Ozzy was under the influence.

The rough patch was brief and Sharon has faith in their enduring relationship.

She loves her husband no matter what.

“It’s acceptance of who that person is [which makes a marriage strong],” she told Extra. “If you think you’re ever going to change anyone, you’re not going to do it. You love them for who they are.”

Sharon is convinced Ozzy helped a lot of people with his admission about falling off the wagon.

She remains incredibly supportive as her husband celebrates his over 90 days of sobriety.

“I’m very proud of him. He’s a great example too for people,” she recently told USA Today. “He’s not the only person that suffers from addiction. Tomorrow’s a new day and you start all over again.

“You just don’t give up, it doesn’t matter what you have, or your position in life, you still have those demons in you. This problem affects so many people. It doesn’t matter what you have. It’s the same battle for everyone.”
