Katie Holmes spent a relaxed Memorial Day in Florida with her daughter Suri.
Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruise enjoyed a modest Memorial Day.
The famous mother and daughter managed to expertly blend in with holidaymakers in Rosemary Beach, Florida.
They were joined by members of Katie’s family and had lunch at a local café.
“Everyone looked like they were having a great time,” a Summer Kitchen Café employee told People. “Katie had a chicken salad and the table was drinking iced tea. There was a lot of laughing. Suri was really polite and so well behaved.”
The 34-year-old actress split from Tom Cruise last summer after nearly six years of marriage.
She is said to have a net worth of more than $25 million and has starred in films including Batman Begins and Jack and Jill.
Despite her fame other diners at the restaurant “left Katie alone and respected her privacy,” according to the source.
The website reports the actress later headed out for some shopping with a friend at gift emporium Duckies Shop of Fun without seven-year-old Suri.
“She just walked around looking," an employee reported. "She wore her hair up and no makeup. She was just casual and relaxed.
“She was really quiet. We barely knew it was her.”
After her split with Mission Impossible star Tom, Katie moved to New York City and enrolled Suri into a private school in Manhattan.
It is said she wants her daughter to lead a normal childhood away from the Hollywood spotlight.
