Amanda Bynes called a paparazzo an “ugly black man” as she was followed into her apartment on Saturday shortly after tweeting claims she was sexually harassed by a New York City police officer.
Amanda Bynes is tangled in fresh controversy after calling a paparazzo an “ugly black man”.
The 27-year-old actress was swarmed by photographers as she arrived to her New York apartment Saturday.
The chaotic scene followed just hours after Amanda publicly accused a New York City police officer of sexual harassment.
Reporters can be heard asking her about her recent troubles in a video obtained by TMZ.
The clip shows one photographer angering Amanda as he attempts to yank a scarf from her face while she desperately hides.
She tells the man “You can’t touch me” several times before snapping with the racially-charged barb.
“Is it the ugly black one? Oh, there’s another ugly black man,” she says.
The photographer asks for clarification on the remark but Amanda insists she’s not being prejudice.
“It’s just your face. It’s not a black thing… There’s an ugly white one,” she points out, insisting, “It’s not racist.”
Amanda has courted non-stop media attention lately thanks to her Twitter commentary and legal dramas.
She was arrested Thursday evening after police allegedly found marijuana in her New York City apartment following building complaints.
She was also accused of throwing a bong from the 36th floor window of her residence.
She denied any wrongdoing at her arraignment Friday.
On Saturday she claimed she was sexually harassed by an arresting officer.
“I was sexually harassed by one of the cops the night before last which is who then arrested me,” she tweeted, “He slapped my vagina. Sexual harassment. Big deal.”
“The cop sexually harassed me, they found no pot on me or bong outside my window. That’s why the judge let me go. Don’t believe any reports,” she continued in another excerpt from the lengthy rant.
A spokesperson for the NYPD has confirmed an internal investigation into Amanda’s sexual harassment claims is ongoing.
The actress is charged with possession of marijuana, attempted evidence tampering and reckless endangerment.
A hearing is set for July 9.
