Jon Hamm’s Los Angeles home was swarmed by firefighters Monday.
The Mad Men actor’s smoke alarm went off in his Los Feliz home this morning, reports TMZ.
According to the website, emergency crews raced to the scene at approximately 9:19am.
Photos show two ladder trucks parked outside the residence but the actor is not believed to have been in any “real danger”.
Moments later crews reportedly determined the incident to be a false alarm.
Jon has yet to issue comment.
The 42-year-old actor is believed to live with his girlfriend of 16 years, Jennifer Westfeldt, at the residence.
He recently revealed why the couple have never felt the need to marry.
“Neither I nor my lady has the greatest examples of marriage in our families, but Jen is the love of my life; we’ve been together four times longer than my parents were married,” he told the UK edition of Cosmopolitan magazine. “I’m a lucky guy. I hit the jackpot at work and at home, and I get to share it with my girl!”
The actor is meanwhile about to begin work on his next two projects.
Jon will star as a sports agent trying to recruit Asian cricket players to Major League Baseball in Craig Gillespie drama Million Dollar Arm.
He will also voice the villainous Herb Overkill in forthcoming animated comedy Minions.
Both films are scheduled for a 2014 release.
