Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried seemed to have dealt with their notorious Oscar gown feud as the women were ecstatic to see each other at the Met Gala Monday.
Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried gave each other “a long kiss on the lips” during their Met Gala reunion.
Earlier this year the two actresses reportedly engaged in a notorious Academy Awards feud after they chose to wear similar gowns to the ceremony.
Us Weekly reports the pair are on good terms once more. They were elated to see one another at an after-party for Monday’s annual Costume Institute Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Anne arrived to the fête late with her husband Adam Shulman on her arm. Amanda immediately called out to Anne when she saw the couple.
Apparently Anne then “ran up” to Amanda and "gave her a long kiss on the lips”.
“Their catch-up looked happily intense,” an eyewitness told the magazine.
“Amanda even jumped over her table to get closer to Anne.”
Anne is said to have “thrown a fit” over Amanda’s plans to wear frock to the Oscars that looked a lot like her original Valentino gown.
Anne changed her dress at the last-minute and even issued a statement regarding the matter.
In her comments she expressed “regret at any disappointment caused” to Valentino after executives at the company issued a press release stating she would be wearing the label.
“It came to my attention late Saturday night that there would be a dress worn to the Oscars that is remarkably similar to the Valentino I had intended to wear, and so I decided it was best for all involved to change my plans,” she said.
“Though I love the dress I did wear, it was a difficult last-minute decision as I had so looked forward to wearing Valentino in honour of the deep and meaningful relationship.”
