Adele’s album is reportedly the priority over record label mate Susan Boyle’s at this time, as executives believe the Rolling in the Deep singer’s work will be a sensation.
Adele’s album is reportedly “the priority” at her and Susan Boyle’s record label.
The Grammy-winning Rolling in the Deep singer is hard at work on her third studio album.
Although both women are creating new tracks, apparently Susan’s album has been put on hold.
Their mutual label Columbia-Sony is said to be putting its primary focus on ensuring Adele’s music is complete.
“Both Adele and Subo have done incredibly well and both are very important artists,” a source told British newspaper the Mirror.
“While Subo is still a big-hitter and there are high hopes for her next album, Adele is the priority.
“Stateside, she has never been hotter. Some of those within Susan’s camp are worried that this is not a good sign but label bosses have been quick to reassure them that Susan still has an incredibly bright future.”
Adele is rumoured to be penning new tracks with some of the hottest producers in the business right now.
According to insiders she is making significant progress thus far.
“Adele is currently in a recording studio in London and it’s in lockdown mode for the next few weeks,” the source said.
“Four tracks are finished in terms of writing and she’s now laying down preliminary vocals with backing music and singers.
“The rest of the record will be done in LA. The feel is very much Adele going back to her roots, with some modern jazz and a couple of classic old songs.”
