Lena Dunham celebrates Time 100 honour

Lena Dunham and Claire Danes posed up a storm at the Time 100 Gala last night.

Lena Dunham celebrated with Claire Danes after being named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people.

The two actresses attended the Time 100 Gala event at the Lincoln Center in New York City last night, and showed their affection for one another on the red carpet.

Lena received the honour following the success of her hit HBO series Girls, in which she plays lead character Hannah.

The 26-year-old reached over to plant a big kiss on Claire’s cheek and it seems the feeling is mutual as the Homeland star is the voice behind the publication’s write-up for Lena.

“She is unflinchingly, unnervingly honest… Lena’s unique lack of vanity or shame allows us to consider that we may also be able to accept and express ourselves fully. This is not only impressive, it’s important,” she penned.

Claire also went on to praise Lena’s “self-awareness and wit”, referring to the hilarious comedy Girls.

Both stars were dressed to impress last night, with Lena shining in a gold tulle number.

The Saint Laurent frock was cut daringly low and the star paired the dress with T-bar heels and a natural hair and make-up look.

Claire opted for a Lanvin gown in earthy tones, which boasted an animal print and looked great with her bright blonde hair.

Lena also posed with Mia Farrow and Amy Poehler at the event and enjoyed sharing a joke with her fellow A-listers.

Other stars to make the prestigious list included hip-hop mogul Jay-Z and his superstar wife Beyoncé Knowles, as well as singer-and-actor Justin Timberlake.
