Khloé Kardashian will not return to co-host American TV singing competition X Factor with Mario Lopez, network executives have confirmed.
Khloé Kardashian has been axed from her role as host on US X Factor.
The 28-year-old reality star was booted by producers after presenting the TV singing competition alongside veteran host Mario Lopez for only one season.
Executives have amicably parted ways with Khloé.
“Khloé Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor,” Fox Network released to Variety in a statement.
“We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”
Simon Cowell, a judge on the programme, is elated Mario will remain with X Factor.
He is impressed with the star’s presenting skills.
“I’m thrilled Mario is back for season three,” Simon said.
“Hosting a live show and keeping the judges – especially Demi – in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he’s coming back.”
Judges Simon and singer Demi Lovato will return to their posts, but Britney Spears and L.A. Reid have left the panel.
Khloé won headlines during her X Factor debut when she dressed in a sheer blouse that exposed the star’s breasts under the harsh lighting of the Los Angeles sound stage.
She later made viewers squirm when she sat on Simon’s lap, asking him if he felt “excited” about the evening’s performances.
The third season of US X Factor will premiere this fall.
