Emma Watson's pals surprised her with a touching birthday gift last week.
Emma Watson celebrated her birthday with a piñata-themed bash.
The former Harry Potter star turned 23 last week and her friends decided to mark the occasion by filling papier-mâché creations with sweets.
Pals decorated 23 piñatas – one for each year of the actress’ life – with momentous occasions from Emma’s life so far.
The touching gesture certainly seemed to go down well with the pretty star.
“Emma was gobsmacked when she arrived at the party to see all the piñatas. There was everything from her as a child, and as Hermione in the Harry Potter films, to her in the Chanel advert a couple of years ago," a source smiled to British newspaper The Sun.
“They had even gone to the effort of stuffing a few of the piñatas with sweets and treats, so Emma could smash them open.”
In a picture taken at the party, Emma is seen holding one of the lovingly-made piñatas, grinning broadly as she stands with a male friend.
Last week, fans took to Twitter to offer their congratulations to the star.
“Thank for all my birthday wishes yesterday. Very kind xxx (sic)” Emma posted in response.
The pretty actress is currently busy promoting her latest movie The Bling Ring, about a group of young people who break into celebrities’ houses.
Recently it was revealed the flick would open the Un Certain Regard section of Cannes Film Festival next month.
“Bling Ring is going to Cannes ! (sic)” Emma excitedly announced on Twitter.
