Kate Hudson plans to have a low key celebration to mark her birthday this year.
Kate Hudson wants a low-key birthday celebration with family this year.
The actress turns 34 today and spoke about her plans while attending a Tiffany & Co. jewellery launch in New York City last night.
While last night’s party was a glamorous and star-studded affair, Kate wants a much quieter acknowledgement of turning a year older.
“I think I might have a dinner at some point this week,” Kate told Us Weekly. “I just want to hang with my family.”
Kate hadn’t received any gifts from her family at the time of the interview, but predicted she’d get something heartfelt from her sons.
The mother-of-two shared how sentimental her nine-year-old Ryder, who she has with her ex-husband rocker Chris Robinson, can be.
“Ryder makes things, so he’s made me this beautiful tree out of sticks, and he took shells and painted them and made them the leaves of the tree. He’s quite an artist, so he made me and painted butterflies and gave them to me,” she explained of her past presents. “And he likes to make me jewellery. He’s made me some bracelets that are just adorable!”
Kate’s youngest son, 21-month-old Bingham, is too young to understand birthday gifts but he makes her happy in other ways. Despite his young age he’s already showing signs of taking after his musician father, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.
“Bing right now is just completely obsessed with drumming. He’s just a drummer,” she laughed. “It’s pretty wild to watch. It’s all he wants to do.”
