Jessica Simpson’s newly separated parents Joe and Tina have reportedly decided to attend their pregnant daughter’s baby shower after initially refusing to be in the same room with each other.
Jessica Simpson’s parents have reportedly come to terms over attending their pregnant daughter’s upcoming baby shower.
Jessica is currently expecting her second child with fiancé Eric Johnson and is planning a party to celebrate the new arrival.
Her parents Tina and Joe separated after 34 years of marriage in 2012.
The pair are said to be at war with each other ever since Tina filed the divorce papers in September.
Initially it was rumoured neither Joe or Tina had any inclination to go to the party, as they were vehemently against being in the same room together.
Apparently they have agreed to shelve their venom towards one another to be there for their daughter.
“Joe and Tina are going to tag team the [baby shower]. It will be a one in, one out situation,” a source told Radar Online.
“Joe has agreed to come a little later so Tina can slip out before he gets there to avoid any drama on Jessica’s big day.
“They both were desperate to come and support their daughter, but it’s been a little bit difficult with everything that’s been going on between the pair.”
It is said Jessica is elated to have both her parents with her on the big day.
She is now focused on making this an event to remember.
“Jessica is delighted that an amicable agreement has been reached and they will both be in attendance,” the insider said.
“Now, Jessica can’t wait to celebrate and just wants the day to be a big success.”
