The 42-year-old actor welcomed a daughter on Thursday with his former girlfriend, Sonni Pacheco, sources told Us Weekly.
No name has been delivered to outlets yet for the offspring of Jeremy, who has twice been nominated for an Academy Award.
Rumours surfaced around his impending parenthood when was overheard speaking about the upcoming childbirth of his Canadian model ex to actress Eva Longoria at the Golden Globes in January.
Apparently he revealed to Eva he was “going to fly in when her water breaks”, with Eva replying, “I’m so blown away.”
The Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters actor only casually dated the mother of his little girl and despite their breakup has been looking after her in the lead-up to the delivery.
He invited her to move into his Los Angeles, California home, which he shares with a friend.
“They used to date but it wasn’t serious,” a source explained to the publication.
They claimed the screen favourite was “being ultra-secretive about it, but she has been going on about her life and not hiding it”.
Jeremy is fiercely protective about his personal life and rarely discusses his romances. He did take the time to slam rumours about his sexuality last year though, insisting reports he is gay were false.
The star split from actress Jess Macallan in 2010 after a four-year romance. She was not in the industry when they got together and Jeremy has since explained that her change of career was one of the things which drove a wedge between them.
“I was going through The Hurt Locker campaign and she’s like, ‘Where do I get headshots?’ " he explained.
