Lil Wayne has reportedly been released from hospital.
The 30-year-old rapper, real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., was admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles on Tuesday night after suffering multiple seizures.
According to TMZ, Wayne has bounced back from the health scare and has been authorised to leave the facility.
A source told the website the musician “is feeling weak” but added “he’s a lot better” since he suffered a series of uncontrollable convulsions.
Wayne was initially cleared to leave the hospital shortly after his first round of tests last Tuesday.
Hours later he was found unconscious in his room by his bodyguard and admitted to an intensive care unit for 24-hour care.
Earlier reports on Monday suggested he had finally stabilised and was permitted to check out of ICU.
Wayne is suspected of overdosing on prescription drug codeine following a “Sizzurp binge”.
The concoction, also known as Purple Drank, includes prescription-strength cough syrup as its primary ingredient.
TMZ reported his stomach was pumped at least three times before he began experiencing a series of “severe and violent seizures”.
Celebrities have showered the rapper with well wishes and many musicians stopped by to offer their support.
Rappers Nicki Minaj, Drake and Lil Wayne’s mentor Birdman are among those who have been at his bedside.
Wayne took to Twitter last week amid conflicting reports about his health and suggestions he was near-death.
“I’m good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love (sic),” he wrote.
The rapper has suffered from seizures in the past, most recently during a flight last October.
He later revealed he was prescribed medication to treat the condition.
