Superior Court Judge Stephen Moloney says Kim Kardashian’s divorce battle with Kris Humphries is ready to be heard in court.
According to ET Online, the magistrate sees no need to delay proceedings on the matter any longer.
The first trial hearing has been set for May 6.
Kim famously married basketball player Kris in a lavish wedding in August 2011, which was shown on TV. However, the 32-year-old reality star filed for divorce just 72 days later after realising the union couldn’t last.
Despite splitting in October 2011, Kim and Kris have been clashing over the terms of their divorce.
Kris is accusing Kim of fraud and using their wedding for publicity.
Kim desires for the divorce to take place as soon as possible.
It was recently revealed that Kris’ former attorney Marshall Waller parted ways from the athlete after citing an “irremediable breakdown of the attorney-client relationship”, in documents obtained by TMZ.
After reports of the pair butting heads over ways to proceed with Kris’ high-profile divorce for quite some time, the US website has now revealed that Marshall “made it clear to his client… there are no legal grounds for annulling his marriage to Kim, because there’s absolutely no evidence of fraud.”
Kim is currently expecting her first child with her rap superstar beau Kanye West.
