Channing Tatum is opting to keep the sex of his unborn baby a surprise until delivery day.
The Magic Mike actor, 32, is hoping he and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum can resist the temptation to discover whether they are expecting a son or a daughter.
The couple’s first child is thought to be due this summer.
“We’re going to be surprised, I think we’re going to do that on this one,” Channing told E! News.
“It’s one of the only real surprises that you’re ever gonna get that’s legit.”
However, the actor isn’t sure whether his wife will be able to cope with the surprise.
Channing surmises that Jenna may fold and ferret out the details.
“She’s the kind that if she knows she has a surprise somewhere she basically goes and tries to figure it out,” he said.
“She doesn’t like the whole surprise thing, so we’ll see.”
And he certainly appreciates how his wife looks when expecting, calling pregnancy “one of the sexiest things for sure.”
At the moment, Jenna “looks normal everywhere else but she’s got a little basketball up front,” the star told E!
Clearly excited at becoming a father, Channing has said he hopes to have three children eventually.
Channing and Jenna married in 2009 after meeting on the set of 2006 dance movie Step Up.
