Harry Styles was reportedly caught off guard by the stripper who turned up at his birthday party door.
The One Direction singer turned 19 on February 1 and partied all night in London to celebrate his new age.
Harry rented out an area of Birthdays bar in the trendy Dalston neighbourhood of East London on Friday. At the venue he spent around £2,000 serving his guests red and white wine and over 100 cupcakes.
The star then travelled to another bar and then finally home, where he partied with 70 of his friends.
Harry’s pal BBC Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw provided the birthday boy entertainment with a stripper that cost £100.
“Harry was shocked when the woman first turned up, for a split second he thought that she was a real police officer. When he realised what she was actually there for, he was even more shocked,” a source told British newspaper The Mirror.
“He looked really embarrassed but towards the end he began grinning, it was hilarious. Grimmy paid for the stripper, he didn’t know what to buy the man who has everything so he thought it was a good, funny idea.
“The irony of it was that apparently it was [Harry’s bandmate Niall Horan] who got close to the stripper, Harry wasn’t remotely interested.”
Niall was the only member of One Direction to turn up to Harry’s birthday celebrations.
Apparently there is no bad blood, as Liam Payne, 19, and Louis Tomlinson, 21 simply couldn’t attend.
Zayn Malik, 20, didn’t want to stir up controversy by making an appearance in the wake of allegations that he cheated on his girlfriend Perrie Edwards with a waitress.
“He invited the rest of the band but only Niall came. Liam and Louis had a friend’s party in London’s West End that they had to attend but they promised to make up for it,” the source said.
“Zayn is keeping his head down at the moment, he thought better of going to a party where there was a going to be a stripper.”
