Lawrence: Oscar nominations woke me up

Jennifer Lawrence’s parents paid a “really nerdy” visit to her bedroom after Oscar nominations were announced.
The actress was fast asleep Thursday morning while Emma Stone and Seth MacFarlane revealed the nominees for the 85th Annual Academy Awards.
Jennifer received a nod for Best Actress and her Silver Linings Playbook castmembers are up for trophies in every acting category.
The night before, the star was out celebrating her People’s Choice Awards Best Movie Actress win and she was barely conscious when she heard the good news.
“This time I wanted to wake up but I couldn’t open my eyes and then my parents came into my room and kissed my forehead and told me congratulations,” Jennifer told Entertainment Weekly.
“I know, it’s really nerdy. Try going back to sleep after that!”
Jennifer’s co-star Bradley Cooper is a Best Actor nominee and Silver Linings Playbook is also in the running to win Best Picture.
She is in awe that her deepest dreams are manifesting before her.
“When you’re hoping for something and you’re praying and we’re all getting so excited and then it’s even better than you imagined it’s unbelievable…. [The whole cast have] been texting,” she said.
“I just sent them a picture of Obama on a unicorn with a rainbow saying ‘Congratulations.’”
This year’s Academy Awards ceremony will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on February 24.
