Jessica Chastain will be too “embarrassed” to check the Internet when the Oscar nominations are announced on Thursday.
The Zero Dark Thirty star will be on a plane during the announcement, but says she will resist checking the aircraft’s Wi-Fi to see if she is among those honoured this year.
The actress is widely expected to receive a Best Actress nomination for her role as a CIA agent in dramatic movie Zero Dark Thirty.
“I’m not gonna go online – it would be too embarrassing to be online, looking at people looking over my shoulder,” she joked to Entertainment Tonight.
“But I am probably going to be looking at the stewardesses and everyone, to see if they are extra nice to me or if they are giving me the sympathy look, like ’Awwww’…”
The star, who is currently starring in Broadway play The Heiress, will next appear in horror movie Mama.
She plays a woman who gets more than she bargained for when she takes in her two young nieces who were lost in a forest for five years.
