One Direction ‘sign clever contract’

One Direction will reportedly get a multi-million dollar payout if they stay together three more years.
Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan formed the group during their stint on The X Factor UK in 2010 and stormed music charts.
According to UK newspaper The Sun, music bosses at Sony are keen to keep them from splitting up.
The singers have reportedly signed a legally binding document with millions of dollars at stake.
“It’s a really clever contract that the boys have signed up to. It means they have a real incentive to tough it out and stick together,” a source told the publication.
The band is reportedly committed to putting out an album a year for the next 36 months.
If any one of them walks away before then all will reportedly miss out on the payday.
“They all get on really well, but it would be the kind of deal that would see them through the worst aggro possible,” the source said.
The band has already seen enormous success in the UK and has demonstrated crossover appeal.
According to The Sun, One Direction helped to boost Sony Music UK’s pre-tax profits to 128 percent in 2012.
