Anna Faris is to be a mum again after landing the lead role in an American sitcom about parenthood.
Art appears to be imitating life for the actress, who welcomed her first child back in August.
Deadline.com reports the 36-year-old House Bunny star has been tapped for the lead role in a CBS comedy pilot entitled Mom.
The planned series comes from Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre.
The television executive co-wrote the pilot with two members of his team from the hit series.
Mom tells the story of “a newly sober single mom (Faris) who tries to pull her life together in Napa Valley,” according to the website.
The California county of Napa is one of America’s largest wine-producing regions.
Deadline reports Mom got a pilot order last month.
Anna in August welcomed her first child with husband Chris Pratt.
The couple’s son, Jack, was delivered earlier than expected and spent some time in NCIU before going home with the new parents.
Anna first debuted her baby bump in May when she attended the premiere of The Dictator.
Anna and Chris met on the set of their 2007 movie Take Me Home Tonight and got engaged two years later. They tied the knot in July of that year in an intimate ceremony in Bali.
Anna previously revealed she would love to have “eight” kids.
