The anticipated first viewing premiere of ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ took place in Wellington, New Zealand yesterday. The event drew a large crowd and ‘The Hobbit’ & ‘Lord of The Rings’-fans from all over the world were there to take part in the festivities.

Much like it’s predecessor, ‘The Lord of The Rings’, ‘The Hobbit’ will also be a part of a trilogy. The movie revolves around Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), a hobbit living in the country of Fylke. Ian McKellen is back as Gandalf The Grey and together with Bilbo they venture on a quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug.

Their journey takes them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters, Sorcerers and… GOLLUM!

The movie premieres on December 12th.
