Robbie Williams raps for Teddy

Robbie Williams sings gangster rap songs instead of lullabies to his baby daughter.

The singer – who topped the UK charts with new single ‘Candy’ on Sunday (04.11.12) – sings Dr. Dre’s ‘Nuthin’ but a G Thang’ to two-month old Theodora Rose, his first child with wife Ayda Field, 33.

When asked what lullabies he sings to his daughter during a Twitter live chat with iTunes to celebrate the release of new album ‘Take the Crown’, Robbie responded: ‘’The Chronic, Dre Dre, ’Ain’t Nothing but a G thang’ cos nursery rhymes are boring (sic).’’

The expletive filled ‘Nuthin’ but a G Thang’ – which also has lyrics about smoking marijuana – was a hit for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg in 1992, reaching number two on the US singles chart and peaking at number 31 in the UK charts.

The 38-year-old vocalist also likes to sings songs by other artists in the shower, his current favourite being Carly Rae Jepsen’s huge hit ‘Call Me Maybe’.

One fan asked: ‘’When you’re singing in the shower/car or wherever, do you tend to sing your own songs or other artists more? (sic)’’

Robbie replied: ‘’Other artists. Right now it’s ‘Call Me Maybe’.’’

The ‘Angels’ singer also admitted he is worried about how fans will react to his new album.

He tweeted: ’’I’m really scared and really excited. Depending on which part of the internet I look at. It is either doing v well or… (sic)’’

‘Take the Crown’ is out now.
