One Direction have two tracks about Ed Sheeran’s ex-girlfriend on their new album.
The songs – on the boy band’s second album, ‘Take Me Home’ – were written by the singer and guitarist, inspired by his former love.
Ed told MTV News: ’’They’re both about my ex-girlfriend.
‘’One of them is kind of a getting-back together song. One of them is an appreciation song. I can’t say the titles. The song that I think will be the single, one of the singles, is kind of a very sweet song.
‘’It was written about the best things about someone, kind of like the things you wouldn’t expect.’’
Ed, 21, was reluctant to give further details, as the tracks are now the group’s and have taken on a different life.
He added: ’’You’ll have to hear it. I can’t really say too much because it’s their album. I want them to be the first ones to announce it.’’
The ‘Lego House’ singer – who also wrote the track ‘Moments’ on One Direction’s debut album – has previously said he wrote a lot of songs for both his own debut and the boy band about the same girl.
He explained: ’’Seventeen-year-old Ed just wrote a lot of love songs, so expect to hear a lot of love songs on their album.
‘’I had a wicked girlfriend at 17. She was great. Actually my ’+’ album is pretty much about her. She spawned a lot of songs.’’
